Drones Spotted Flying Over NATO Nuclear Power Plant: Report
Drones were spotted over a nuclear power plant in Belgium on Sunday, just days after a series of similar sightings in the NATO country.
As of Monday morning, no one had been blamed for the event. However, it comes after a string of drone sightings disrupted flights at Liège and Brussels airports last week. Drones were also spotted at a Belgian military base believed to host U.S. tactical nuclear weapons this month, the country’s defense minister said.
The appearance of drones in Belgium’s airspace follows a spate of such sightings in Europe which has alarmed leaders who blame Russia for stepping up hybrid war operations in the continent through airspace breaches. Moscow has denied the claims.
