Tacoma man accused of stabbing multiple roommates, setting fire in sober living home
A Tacoma man is facing charges of attempted murder and arson after he stabbed three people and intentionally set fires inside a clean-and-sober home, triggering a fast-moving blaze that trapped residents and left one victim critically injured.
Andrew Cole Keen has been handed three charges of 2nd-degree attempted murder and one charge of 1st-degree arson for the Jan. 20 incident.
Investigators say the attacks and fire occurred shortly before dawn Jan. 20 at a residence in the 4000 block of South 34th Street. The residence is registered as a clean-and-sober home, according to investigators.
Police were first alerted at about 4:11 a.m. when Keen’s father, calling from out of state, reported receiving text and Snapchat messages from his son saying he was “going to jail tonight because he was going to kill some people,” according to court documents.
