Suspect dead due to bomb explosion after police chase in Garvin County [OK]
Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation said a man is dead due to an explosive device after leading police on a chase in Garvin County Friday morning.
Authorities said 32-year-old Derek Davidson fled a Pauls Valley Police traffic stop around 10 a.m., where he accelerated to speeds over 100-miles-per-hour.
The suspect came close to crashing with police cars at multiple points during the chase according to officials, which led to OHP assistance once he drove into Garvin County OSBI said.
Davidson then drove back to his home in Pauls Valley and proceeded to barricade himself, resulting in a standoff with police.
