Baltimore man charged in bomb threat against courthouse, judge
A Baltimore man faces charges including intimidating/influencing a juror related to a Feb. 2 bomb threat that resulted in Washington County Circuit Court being evacuated, according to a Feb. 11 news release issued by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation found a bomb threat was made against the 24 Summit Ave. courthouse in downtown Hagerstown and against a sitting Circuit Court judge, the release states.
The charge of intimidating/influencing a juror is a felony.
Jamil Nicholas Gardner, 32, of Baltimore, also is charged with two counts each of making a false statement regarding a destructive device and threatening arson; and one count each of making a threat of mass violence and harm/threat of damage to an office of the court, the release states.
