Police: 18-year-old from Brockport arrested after making terroristic threats online outside a Palmyra school
The Palmyra Police Department said they arrested a Brockport man after an investigation into a threat made against the Palmyra-Macedon School District. Police say they were told about a social media post on Tuesday that showed a gun being pointed at a school, along with a threatening message.
The report said the suspect was a former student.
Douglas R. Adams from Brockport, 18, was arrested. He was at the campus when the threat was made and posted to social media, police say.
Adams was charged with making a terroristic threat and aggravated threat of mass harm.
He was taken by Palmyra officers to the Palmyra Police Department and was then transported to the Wayne County Jail, awaiting arraignment, the report mentions. Police say Adams will then go to Palmyra Village Court.
The gun that was pictured in the social media post was found and determined to be non-operational by police.
