Dallas-area shopping center shooting that left 2 dead, 3 injured was not random, officials say

A shooting at a shopping center in Texas left two people dead and three people injured, police said.

According to Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo, law enforcement was called to the K Towne Plaza shopping center shortly before 10 a.m. on Tuesday after reports of a shooting with multiple victims.

Investigators said there were multiple victims with gunshot wounds when officers arrived at the scene.

Arredondo said two people were dead and three additional people were shot, but were expected to be OK.

There was an additional scene related to the shooting at a shopping center south of K Towne Plaza.

The suspected shooter was taken into custody after a short foot chase. Arredondo identified him as 69-year-old Seung Han Ho.

Arredondo assured there was no threat to the public and that the shooting did not appear to be random. Investigators said Ho was meeting with the victims for a business purpose.
