Disturbing video released of Molotov cocktail attack outside OKCPD headquarters
Police have released traffic camera video of a man who attempted to set another man in a wheelchair on fire with a Molotov cocktail outside the Oklahoma City Police Department headquarters.
According to authorities, at around 8 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, a suspect, later identified as Emery Alexander, approached a man who was crossing the street outside of the police station and threw a Molotov cocktail at him, igniting a fire on the ground.
In the video, the man in the wheelchair attempted to roll himself out of the flames before Alexander ran up to him and pushed him back into the fire. During the struggle, the victim fell backwards in the wheelchair.
Two detectives exited their vehicle with guns drawn at Alexander, both rushing over to the area. One detective, along with a nearby bystander, pulled the victim from the fire while the other detective arrested the suspect.
